Easter 2012

1 Corinthians 15:20a "But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead"
Happy Easter!!  We are so thankful for that empty tomb.  Jesus conquered death and because of that we will spend eternity with Him in Heaven!  Thank You, Lord.  There is no greater gift.

It was just us this year so it was very relaxing.  We had a  low key day just hanging out.  We went to church, dyed eggs, had our Easter egg hunt, went through the Easter story and our resurrection eggs, then  a delicious dinner of grilled chicken and trout, caesar salad, fresh green beans, sister shuberts rolls, deviled eggs (why are they called that?  we all want to know) and homemade chocolate cake for dessert.

Family picture after church (did you think we had time before church?  No way)

Daddy does a great job hiding eggs

My kids and their pottery barn easter baskets.  Or Wal-mart bags.

Jake didn't want to participate, but he sensed something good in them (we stuffed them with cash).

Our baby's baptism!

Dear Mark,
Your decision to become a follower of Jesus is the most important decision you will ever make!  Several months ago, after talking about it repeatedly, you got down on your knees and asked Jesus to be your personal savior.  You asked for the siblings to be involved, so all 5 of us prayed with you in our living room.  You were so excited and Daddy and I were so teary eyed.  Even the big brothers were very serious, knowing what an important moment this was for our family.  We are so proud of you, sweetie, because not only are we your parents, but we are also your brother and sister in Christ!!  And the Angels rejoice!!!

3 John 4 "I have no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the Truth"

We love you more than you'll ever know,
Daddy and Mommy
Waiting your turn for Baptism

Ready to go!                                                Getting a pre-Baptism talk from Brother John
